Young Voices on Opportunity in Northwest Arkansas

For Northwest Arkansas to realize its full potential as one of the country’s most vibrant and inclusive communities, it’s essential to lift up next-generation voices. The Walton Family Foundation supports this effort by convening community leaders to listen and learn how local youth view their future in the region.

Building on the national report, Millennials and Generation Z: Agents of Change, a new study by Echelon Insights, asked young people in Northwest Arkansas how they feel about resources and opportunities available to them locally. Initial findings show a sense of opportunity is important, but so is inclusion, and many hope to see a more diverse array of voices in leadership positions.

Join us to hear a presentation of the findings and a panel discussion with local youth on opportunity in Northwest Arkansas, as well as remarks from Executive Director Caryl M. Stern and Home Region Program Interim Director Emma Pengelly.
